Our client was a part of the Google Mobile Analytics team and they sought a more comprehensive understanding of how small to medium sized businesses engage with various data analytic tools on the market.
This included tracking the extent of SMBs engagements with these tools as well as their motivation behind their usage or lack thereof.
Scope of this project was quite large and our team narrowed down our target user to just include SMBs in the Bay Area. Small businesses are defined as having as having 1-99 employees and medium sized businesses as having 100-500 employees. These businesses were cross industry and included retail, tech, consulting amongst others and cross platforms so both with a physical location as well as those operating solely online.
